About The Position

Prolific is inviting US-based physicians with experience in utilization review, utilization management, or physician clinical review to join its Expert Network for paid research and AI-related tasks. Applicants must be registered physicians with a current US medical license and be willing to provide their National Provider Identifier (NPI) for medical-credential verification. Eligible applicants may be invited to a dedicated Prolific workspace and, after verification, may be asked to complete training or a qualification assessment. Physicians who meet project requirements and pass the assessment may be invited to participate in project tasks.

This is a remote, freelance, task-based research participation opportunity, not clinical employment or a salaried physician position. There are no guaranteed hours, task volume, or ongoing work. The indicative rate is US$130 per hour for invited paid screening, with project task rates starting at US$216 per hour; rates and paid opportunities are subject to task-specific confirmation and availability. Participants can review each task’s details, estimated time, and confirmed pay before deciding whether to participate.

Prolific connects researchers and organizations with participants who provide human behavioral data and feedback to support research and AI development. Participation requires following each task’s instructions and confidentiality requirements. Applicants should not include patient information in applications or task submissions.

Requirements

• Currently reside in the United States.
• Be a registered physician with a current US medical license.
• Have experience in utilization review, utilization management, or physician clinical review.
• Be willing to provide an NPI and complete medical-credential verification during onboarding; physician and license eligibility must also be verified.
• Be willing to complete required training or a qualification assessment after verification.
• Have access to a computer and a reliable internet connection, and be able to follow detailed online instructions.

Responsibilities

• Complete expert registration and medical-credential verification through Prolific’s onboarding process.
• Complete an assessment if invited to establish suitability for the project.
• If qualified and selected, apply utilization review, utilization management, or physician clinical review experience to paid research and AI-related tasks as they become available.
• Follow the instructions and confidentiality requirements provided for each task.
