About The Position

Prolific is inviting US-based physicians with experience in collaborating physician work or clinical oversight to join its Expert Network for paid research and AI-related tasks. Applicants must be registered physicians with a current US medical license and be willing to provide their National Provider Identifier (NPI) for verification. Eligible applicants may be invited to a dedicated Prolific workspace and, after credential verification, may be invited to complete training or a qualification assessment. Physicians who meet project requirements and pass the assessment may be invited to participate in project tasks.

This is a remote, freelance, task-based paid research participation opportunity, not clinical employment or a salaried physician position. There are no guaranteed hours, task volume, or ongoing work. The indicative rate for invited paid screening is US$130 per hour, with project task rates starting at US$216 per hour; these are task-based rates and not guaranteed earnings. Applicants can review each task's details, estimated time, and confirmed pay before choosing whether to participate. Invitations, assessment arrangements, project access, and task availability depend on eligibility and project requirements.

Participants contribute professional medical expertise to research and AI system development. They can choose available tasks that fit their schedules, subject to verification, assessment results, and task availability. Applicants should not include patient information in applications or task submissions. Prolific may collect personal data for recruiting and global organization planning; its Candidate Privacy Notice describes data processing and candidate rights.

Requirements

• Currently reside in the United States.
• Be a registered physician with a current US medical license.
• Have experience in collaborating physician work or clinical oversight.
• Be willing to provide an NPI and complete medical-credential verification during onboarding; physician and license eligibility must also be verified.
• Be willing to complete required training or a qualification assessment after verification.
• Have access to a computer and a reliable internet connection.
• Be able to follow detailed online instructions.

Responsibilities

• Complete expert registration and medical-credential verification through Prolific's onboarding process.
• Complete an assessment if invited to establish suitability for the project.
• If qualified and selected, apply experience in collaborating physician work or clinical oversight to paid research and AI-related tasks as they become available.
• Follow the instructions and confidentiality requirements provided for each task.
