About The Position

The Utility associate performs cleaning, sanitation, stocking, and supply-handling duties to support operations. Tasks include cleaning equipment and work areas with specified chemicals, washing and returning utensils, pots, and pans, removing trash, and cleaning floors, walls, windows, and trashcans. The associate also stocks and rotates products, checks product temperatures and levels of items such as ice, keg beer, bib sodas, and CO2 containers, transfers supplies between storage and work areas, and loads and unloads supply trucks. The role follows company security and safety procedures and is non-exempt. Duties may also include other responsibilities directed by the business or assigned by management.

Requirements

Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.
Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents.
Frequently immerse hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions.

Responsibilities

Clean equipment, including work tables, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other equipment.
Wash utensils, pots, and pans by hand or in a dishwashing machine, and return clean items to their proper places.
Remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
Sweep, mop, scrub, and buff floors using heavy equipment.
Clean walls and windows and steam-clean trashcans.
Stock, date, and rotate products and check product temperatures.
Check levels of ice, keg beer, bib sodas, and CO2 containers, and replace them if necessary.
Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or hand truck.
Load and unload supply trucks.
Follow company security and safety procedures.
Perform other responsibilities as directed by the business or assigned by management.
