About The Position

Utility employees at SSP America keep restaurants and units clean and sanitized for guests and team members. The role supports a clean, safe environment and a positive guest experience through maintaining hygienic work areas, cleaning and sanitizing surfaces and equipment, handling refuse, and assisting with dishwashing and dining-area resets. Utility employees may also help guests with requests, move supplies, and perform basic food-item stocking and temperature checks. SSP America operates restaurants at Spokane International Airport, including Fir and Pine, Meltz Extreme Grilled Cheese, and Thomas Hammer Coffee Roasters.

Responsibilities

Create a positive guest experience by cleaning and maintaining hygienic work areas.
Maintain cleanliness of surfaces and equipment, including floors, ceiling tiles, walls, windows, worktables, hoods, vents, grills, refrigerators, service counters, and storage areas.
Remove refuse to designated areas.
Clear and reset dining tables between seatings as needed, and transport service-ware to the kitchen for cleaning.
Scrape food from dirty dishes, pots, and pans; wash them by hand or load them into a dishwasher; and return them to proper storage.
Clean equipment with specific chemicals to meet sanitary standards, which may include using heavy equipment.
Assist guests with specific requests and communicate special needs to a server or supervisor.
Load and unload supply trucks and transfer supplies between storage and work areas.
Stock, date, rotate, and check the temperature of food items.
Perform other duties as assigned.
