About The Position

Canfor is hiring an entry-level Production Worker at its sawmill in Fulton, Alabama. This is a full-time, permanent position working a rotating shift Monday through Thursday. The role involves rotating hourly through tasks in an assigned workspace while working safely and efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment. The work includes manual tasks that contribute to production and site cleanliness.

Requirements

• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks for extended periods, including piling lumber, standing for long hours, walking, shoveling, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work around environmental elements, moving mechanical equipment, loud noise, and dust.
• Excellent teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers.
• High degree of urgency and attention to detail.
• Desire to learn, grow, and succeed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment.
• Knowledge of the lumber manufacturing process.

Responsibilities
