About The Position

The Utility team member performs general maintenance and cleaning duties to maintain high standards of safety and sanitation for members and team members. The role includes cleaning club areas and outdoor grounds, gathering and returning carts and flatbeds, and helping ensure carts are clean, working, and available at the club entrance. The team member provides prompt, courteous service, follows club policies and procedures, and may work in other departments as needed.

The position involves operating maintenance equipment safely, restocking and organizing cleaning supplies, performing minor building repairs, and notifying management when major repairs may be needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job. The position is part-time. The stated pay range is $17.75–$21.30.

Requirements

• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Must be over 18 to operate equipment and enter age-restricted areas.

• The work may require using a pallet jack to pull and push pallets.
• The work may require lifting objects up to 50 pounds and, with assistance, lifting or moving heavy or awkward objects over 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Prior maintenance or janitorial experience is preferred but not required.
• Prior retail or wholesale experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide members with prompt and courteous service and assistance.
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards for members and team members.
• Clean club areas, including the sales floor, offices, restrooms, outdoor grounds, and parking lot.
• Gather and return carts and flatbeds from the parking lot to the club entrance; keep carts stocked, clean, and in working order, and remove carts unsuitable for use.
• Remove trash and debris from the parking lot, cart corrals, and exterior of the club.
• Return new and unused merchandise to the sales floor.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance duties such as mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, carpet extracting, washing glass, emptying trash receptacles, and pulling pallets.
• Maintain cart corrals, sidewalks, and outdoor trash receptacles.
• Prioritize maintenance and cleaning responsibilities efficiently across the club.
• Safely operate the floor scrubber, trash compactor, and cardboard baler according to established safety standards.
• Restock cleaning and maintenance supplies and keep supply areas and maintenance closets clean, neat, and organized.
• Perform minor and routine building repairs and notify management when major repairs may be required.
• Follow club policies and procedures and complete other assigned duties, including work in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
• Complete required training and certification processes.
• Work collaboratively to maintain club standards, support a safe and positive environment, and address or escalate member concerns as appropriate.
