About The Position

The Utility team member performs general maintenance and cleaning duties while maintaining high standards of safety and sanitation for members and team members. The role includes gathering carts and flatbeds from the parking lot and returning them to the club entrance, keeping carts clean and in working order, and maintaining club spaces inside and outdoors. The position may also involve routine building repairs, operating cleaning and waste-handling equipment, and working in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Requirements

• Successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Must be over 18 to operate equipment and enter age-restricted areas; candidates may be under 18 for parking-lot cart functions.
• Frequently lift objects up to 50 pounds; lifting and moving heavier or awkward objects may require assistance.
• Use a pallet jack to pull and push pallets.

Nice To Haves

• Prior maintenance or janitorial experience is preferred but not required.
• Prior retail or wholesale experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide members with prompt and courteous service and assistance.
• Maintain the cleanliness of club areas, including the sales floor, offices, restrooms, outdoor grounds and parking lot.
• Gather and return carts and flatbeds from the parking lot to the club entrance; remove trash and debris from the parking lot, cart corrals and exterior.
• Keep carts stocked at the club entrance; verify carts are clean and working, and remove unsuitable carts from use.
• Return new and unused merchandise to the sales floor.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance duties, including mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, carpet extracting, washing glass, emptying trash receptacles and pulling pallets.
• Maintain outdoor club grounds, including cart corrals, sidewalks and outdoor trash receptacles.
• Prioritize maintenance and cleaning responsibilities efficiently across the club.
• Safely operate floor scrubbers, trash compactors and cardboard balers according to established safety standards.
• Restock maintenance and cleaning supplies and keep supply areas on the receiving dock and in maintenance closets clean and organized.
• Perform minor and routine building repairs and notify management when major repairs may be needed.
• Follow club policies and procedures and complete other assigned duties, including work in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
