About The Position

Goodwin Living is seeking a Utility Person to maintain the overall cleanliness, sanitation, and order of the Dining Services Department in accordance with departmental standards. The role pays $20.00 per hour and requires weekend availability. The Utility Person may also support other kitchen functions, including receiving, food storage, food preparation, dish machine operation, and meal service.

Requirements

Ability to deal tactfully with others.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions.
Effective verbal communication skills to engage with staff, residents, and management.
Well-groomed appearance, good personal hygiene, and a professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize trash containers in accordance with department guidelines.
Sweep, mop, and hose kitchen areas regularly or as needed.
Collect and dispose of used kitchen grease according to proper handling procedures.
Perform detailed cleaning of facilities, appliances, and equipment as assigned to maintain departmental sanitation standards.
Support other kitchen functions as needed, including receiving, food storage, food preparation, dish machine operation, and meal service.
