Utility Worker

About The Position

As an entry-level team member, the Utility Worker supports additional store services, product needs, and customer service. Courtesy Team Members enjoy interacting with people and providing above-and-beyond customer service. This role includes cart retrieval, cleaning and trash collection, snow removal, handling perishable and salvage returns, and assisting across store areas and departments. Other duties may be assigned or required.

Requirements

Be highly organized with a keen sense for details.
Have strong listening and communication skills.
Be able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products or using equipment.
Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
Safely use snow removal equipment to remove snow.
Handle perishable and salvage returns.
Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
Work with the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, and parking lot areas.
Work with the Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral departments.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
