About The Position

The Utility Worker maintains clean and sanitary conditions in the kitchen, including dishes, utensils, glassware, pots, pans, equipment, and the kitchen itself. The role includes operating the dishwashing machine safely and efficiently, ensuring soap and rinse chemicals are properly loaded, removing damaged items from service, stocking delivered food and non-food items, handling garbage and cardboard, and deep cleaning kitchen areas and equipment. The Utility Worker attends training and in-service seminars, follows Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards, helps maintain a safe work environment, and maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and coworkers.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old or have a workers permit.
• Must pass a state and federal background check and a drug test.
• Employees must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination unless exempt due to medical, religious, or personal beliefs; government requirements or exclusions may apply.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous kitchen experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitary conditions of dishes, utensils, glasses, pots, pans, equipment, and the kitchen in accordance with Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards.
• Safely and efficiently operate the dishwashing machine according to its procedure manual.
• Ensure soap and rinse chemicals are properly loaded for washing.
• Remove damaged or broken dishes, utensils, and glassware from service.
• Stock delivered food and non-food items.
• Empty and clear garbage bins and break down boxes.
• Deep clean the kitchen and equipment.
• Attend all training and in-service seminars.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
• Perform duties in adherence to Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards.
• Help maintain a safe working environment by preventing accidents, preserving equipment, and following safe work practices.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and coworkers.
