About The Position

The Utility Worker maintains clean and sanitary conditions in the kitchen, including china, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, equipment, and the kitchen itself. The role involves operating the dishwashing machine, stocking deliveries, removing damaged items from service, clearing garbage and boxes, and deep cleaning kitchen areas and equipment. The employee is expected to follow Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards, attend training and in-service seminars, promote safe working practices, and maintain a positive, professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and coworkers.

Requirements

Must be 18 years old or have a worker's permit.
Must pass a state and federal background check and a drug test.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous kitchen experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain sanitary conditions of dishes, utensils, glasses, pots, pans, equipment, and the kitchen in accordance with Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards.
Safely and efficiently operate the dishwashing machine according to its procedure manual.
Ensure proper soap and rinse chemicals are loaded for washing.
Remove damaged or broken dishes, utensils, and glassware from service.
Stock delivered food and non-food items.
Empty and clear garbage bins and break down boxes.
Deep clean the kitchen and equipment.
Attend all training and in-service seminars.
Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
Perform duties in adherence to Senior Lifestyle Corporation standards.
Help maintain a safe working environment by preventing accidents, preserving equipment, and practicing safe work procedures.
Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and coworkers.
