About The Position

MV Transportation is seeking a Utility/Bus Washer/Fueler to ensure the fleet is fully prepared for service. The position involves fueling vehicles, topping off fluids, cleaning fleet vehicles and maintaining the yard and buildings. The successful candidate must be able to work a varied schedule, including weekends, and work without direct supervision. Starting pay is $21.53 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have a good driving record.
• General knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations related to shop and office conditions.
• Previous custodial experience and knowledge of cleaning methods.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to work with cleaning compounds, solvents, and chemicals.
• Ability to understand, communicate, and follow instructions in English, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicles are completely fueled and fluids are topped off and ready for service at various times of day.
• Clean vehicle interiors according to contract requirements.
• Document fleet damage and communicate unreported damage to appropriate personnel.
• Clean and maintain the yard and buildings.
• Wash and clean the interior and exterior of fleet and relief vehicles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
