About The Position

The Town of Prosper is seeking a qualified and dedicated individual for the position of Utility Worker - Streets. This role involves assisting with the repair and replacement of streets, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, stormwater inlets, and outfalls to maintain the Town's infrastructure. The position requires working independently or as part of a crew and may involve on-call duties and after-hours response. Essential job function training will be provided by Public Works staff to develop skills in concrete work using various tools and heavy equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist with repair and replacement of streets, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, stormwater inlets and outfalls.
• Maintain the integrity of the Town’s infrastructure.
• Work independently or as part of a work crew.
• Be on-call during certain periods and respond to requests after hours if necessary.
• Saw cut, pull, form, pour and finish concrete projects utilizing a combination of hand tools, gas powered tools as well as heavy equipment.
