About The Position

The Utility Technician works at the company’s North Houston, Texas service center, supporting rental equipment operations and helping provide energy solutions to customers. The role involves handling, preparing, cleaning, organizing, and maintaining rental equipment and materials while following safety standards and supporting inventory accuracy. The position may require overtime, travel, and on-call availability.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 0–3 years of experience working in a yard or warehouse.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Embrace and promote a safety culture.
• Be a positive self-starter who enjoys working with others in a fast-paced environment and delivering consistent quality.
• Be reliable and committed to delivering quality performance.
• Ability to work overtime, travel, and be on call.
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically weighing less than 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload rental equipment and materials using large and small forklifts.
• Prepare rental equipment for delivery and verify the quality and accuracy of equipment counts.
• Clean and put away rental equipment when it is returned to the service center.
• Keep the yard and warehouse clean, organized, and up to safety standards.
• Maintain inventory accuracy for rental equipment and accessories.
• Perform inventory cycle counts.
• Wash rental equipment.
• Inspect and repair cable.
