About The Position

The Utility Serviceman supports shop operations by cleaning, moving, and assisting with equipment and parts while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This position is considered safety sensitive and requires the ability to perform various physical tasks in a variety of environmental conditions. The job description is subject to change by the employer as the needs of the employer and requirements of the job change.

Requirements

Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
Frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and taste or smell.
Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and explosives.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Required travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

Clean machines, components, work areas, and parts.
Maintains equipment used in performance of duties.
Load and unload equipment, components, and parts.
Transport equipment, components, and parts around the facility.
Remove and install components, or parts.
Perform maintenance on equipment and components.
Perform all tasks in a manner that ensures customer satisfaction and prompt invoicing and payment for work performed.
Take proper care of all company owned assets and keeps work area clean and orderly.
Perform all of the above functions in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.
Other duties as required in support of Riggs customers and business operations.
