About The Position

Perform merchandising in large format accounts and clean draught lines. This role involves ensuring proper stock rotation, filling shelves, building displays, and handling damaged product. The Utility Serviceman will also follow up on delivery issues, complete reports, and set/reset customer shelves. Additionally, the position may involve obtaining customer orders, placing advertising materials, cleaning and servicing draught accounts according to brewery specifications, ensuring proper draught rotation, and maintaining draught beer equipment. Responsibilities extend to driving, loading/unloading, and setting up/stripping draught trailers for special events. The role may also include installing, maintaining, and repairing permanent point-of-sale items, and potentially working as a driver, warehouseman, or transport hauler. The Utility Serviceman may also cover unplanned absences in operations based on seniority, and must comply with all Wholesaler Equity Agreement requirements, company standards, policies, and liquor regulations.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required (may obtain within 6 months of start date)
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED certificate required
  • Must have access to a reliable personal vehicle during business hours
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be willing to get forklift certified and have the ability to safely operate job related equipment (training provided)
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the job including, but not limited to: repetitively handling cases of beer, reaching above head height, climbing, bending, twisting, squatting and kneeling
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push or pull package product weighing 50 plus pounds and draught product weighing 165 plus pounds
  • Valid driver license and safe driving record
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed
  • Ability to pass a required pre-employment physical, background and drug screening
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions and duties as assigned

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper stock rotation in assigned retail accounts and notify appropriate sales personnel of potential inventory and/or freshness issues
  • Fill cooler and warm shelves
  • Build and restock displays as needed
  • Repack damaged product as needed
  • Follow up on delivery issues with direct supervisor
  • Complete and submit daily, weekly and monthly reports as required
  • Setting and/or re-setting of customer shelves
  • Obtain customer product orders at times, delivery and placement of advertising materials
  • Clean and service assigned draught on-premise accounts according to brewery specifications
  • Ensure proper draught rotation
  • Maintain draught beer equipment at assigned accounts
  • Drive, load/unload, set up/strip draught trailers for special events (before and after)
  • Install, maintain and repair permanent point-of-sale as directed
  • Work as a driver, warehouseman or transport hauler as needed
  • Cover vacancy, based on seniority, in the event of an unplanned absence in operations (compensation will be the prevailing wage classification for the job completed on a daily basis)
  • Comply with all Wholesaler Equity Agreement requirements, Grey Eagle and supplier standards and policies
  • Adhere to all Federal, State and Local liquor regulations
  • Other duties as assigned
