About The Position
This position is responsible for assisting the overall operation of production on their shift. The following list of responsibilities and requirements is not intended to be comprehensive and may be modified at any time by the Human Resource Business Partner, in response to current business needs. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Requirements
- Must have 3 months of work history with one employer within the last 2 years listed on the application.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
- Must be able to obtain a PIT license and operate yard truck.
Responsibilities
- Receives training and performs duties in the cross dock area.
- Learns proper operating procedures and practices at the cross dock area.
- Receives training in functions and operations of all departments to facilitate subsequent transferability between cross dock and plant operations.
- Operates PIT equipment to unload trailers of combos and transfer them to hooper for loading onto open top trailer.
- Operates Yard truck on cross dock area and moves trailers to plant operations area from cross dock.
- Attends company-sponsored training classes.
- Abides by all company Safety, QA and Human Resource policies.
- Any other work duties as assigned by Management.
