About The Position

ITW Medical, a division of ITW, is comprised of two highly respected brands- Coeur and Filtertek, supplying critical filtration and flow control solutions to global OEM’s, serving Surgical, Infusion, Bioprocessing and Diagnostic Imaging end markets. This role is a floater position: assembly line worker, machine operator, and forklift operator. It requires forklift experience. The role is responsible for the quality and production of the machines for distribution to our customers, ensuring that every machine is operating according to all Manufacturing Instructions and Operating Procedures. The position also involves practicing and encouraging courtesy and helpfulness among all team members, becoming fully trained in all areas of machine operation as per Standard Operating Procedures, and following all ITW Medical rules and regulations. Perform end of the day clean up duties as required, and any other required housekeeping.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate forklift.
  • Ability to read and comprehend Operating Instructions and Manufacturing Specifications for the work performed.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute ratios and percentages.
  • Three years’ experience operating and maintaining automation equipment.
  • Corrected eyesight of 20/20 for the visual quality inspections that are performed on parts.
  • Basic Computer Skills – Data Entry, Common Searches, Proficient use of Microsoft Suite, and other custom software packages specific to the business
  • 1-3 years experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with vision inspection equipment preferred.
  • Experience with 6-axis robots preferred.
  • Experience with pneumatic systems preferred.
  • Some knowledge or experience in injection molding, assembly and/or hybrid machine operation processes

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial inspection of manufactured parts for defects; escalate issues as required
  • Record all activities of assigned shift by completing proper forms; i.e. job activity sheets, break sheets, etc.
  • Communicate with the shift lead and QC inspectors
  • Replenish raw materials
  • Report machine issues to technicians
  • Minor troubleshooting
  • Serve as a member of ITW Medical, responsible for the quality and production of the machines for distribution to our customers.
  • Ensure that every machine is operating according to all Manufacturing Instructions and Operating Procedures.
  • Practice and encourage courtesy and helpfulness among all team members.
  • Become fully trained in all areas of machine operation as per Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Follow all ITW Medical rules and regulations.
  • Perform end of the day clean up duties as required, and any other required housekeeping.
