About The Position

This position runs on a Pitman Schedule with a 12-hour rotating night shift. The shift hours are from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM and includes a $3/hr shift differential. The Pitman schedule offers ample time off, improved work-life balance with 3 consecutive days off every other weekend, extended vacation potential, built-in overtime every other week, and a predictable 2-week cycle. Candidates with direct experience will be eligible for a higher pay rate.

Requirements

Thorough knowledge of Flexographic printing procedures, materials and specifications, equipment, and safety requirements.
Skill to read and understand job specifications.
Knowledge of press capabilities to determine the most appropriate press usage, press settings and materials needed to run the job successfully.
Skill to make a variety of difficult precise web paths, and adjustments.
Skill to perform routine operational maintenance of equipment.
Skill in routine operational maintenance and minor repairs to equipment.
Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Excel, Word and Google.
Skill in use of Mark Andy, Aquaflex, Comco, Webtron, Gallus, Nil Peter.

Responsibilities

Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain press equipment.
Perform all make-ready tasks associated with the Flexographic press, such as mounting plates or installing print cylinders.
Examine plates/cylinders for imperfections and check for correct positioning of images.
Prep web paths, adjust tension and register.
Make necessary color correction and anilox adjustment and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet and maintain quality specifications.
Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs and replacing worn or broken parts as required.
Perform periodic maintenance recommended by the manufacturer.
