At our Manitowoc, WI facility we are part of the Smoke and Grill Division and creates liquid smoke flavors for some of your favorite BBQ sauces, dry rubs, and many other foods! You'll work 6:00PM - 6:00AM 4 on, 4 off schedule! Training will be done M-F from 7:00AM - 3:00PM. $1.50 shift differential for working night shift!

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • 3 - 5 years of industrial electrical experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment & food/beverage experience is highly preferred.
  • Possess and demonstrate basic technical knowledge of some or all of the following: Stainless Steel Welding/Fabrication, Ability to be or become or is a Sanitary Certified welder. (outside certification), Piping systems, Electricity, PLC’s (Programmable logic controllers) – a plus, Process control instrumentation, HVAC systems, Process equipment, Personal Computing

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Maintenance team to assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustments or repairs, and to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
  • Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on specifications and codes.
  • Clean breaker panels and ensure objects are not placed in front of them.
  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearing, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Install and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic steam, pneumatic equipment.
  • Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other related equipment.
  • Building maintenance including minor plumbing, welding, and general upkeep.
