About The Position

Kawneer is a large commercial window manufacturing company that supplies windows and aluminum to companies nationwide. As a member of the Kawneer Cranberry team, you could be assigned different tasks out on our plant floor to help us produce products. This position works a 12-hour shift (6p - 6a) with a rotating schedule where one week you work 36 hours and the next week you work 48 hours. Mandatory overtime can occur on top of this schedule. Currently we supply commercial windows and aluminum sticks to companies nationwide. We are easily accessible being surrounding by many major highways as well as have many popular shopping, recreation, and dining options.

Requirements

Must be eligible to work in the United States of America. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
Technical degree and/or 5 years' experience

Responsibilities

Perform preventative and predictive maintenance.
Identify and look up parts in MP2 maintenance program.
Use hand tools and other required equipment.
Troubleshoot independently all types of mechanical equipment, hydraulics, mobile equipment, utilities and basic electrical controls.
Repair equipment with little documentation.
Provide improvement to preventative maintenance program by creating task lists.
Drive root cause analysis and implementation of long term solutions.
Use a drill press, band saw, lathe, grinder, test gauges, welding, burning and electrical equipment as needed.
Make recommendations and updates to equipment which result in an improvement to technical downtime.
Help train maintenance grade 10 employees.
Effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, and other departments as regarding work accomplishments and findings.
Participate in L1 meetings, perform safety system requirements, log work hours and comments on work orders in MP2 maintenance software.
