About The Position

The Utility Operator is a member of Land O’Lakes, Inc.’s manufacturing team, supporting front-line production processes that add value and quality to inputs and produce final products. The role involves learning how raw materials are turned into finished products, operating machinery and equipment, and packaging products for customers. It is part of the Purina Animal Nutrition business, which serves producers and animal owners throughout the United States with nutritional products and practices.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• At least 1 year of work experience in any industry.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Willingness to learn new skills, solve problems, and troubleshoot.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a respectful approach.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of manufacturing work experience.
• Machine operation and/or forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety processes and promote safe practices for self and others.
• Arrive on time, complete tasks by deadlines, and adapt quickly to changes.
• Manage multiple tasks and meet production demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Follow quality standards and standard operating procedures throughout production.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with and follow instructions from Leads and Management to complete daily assignments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
