Utility Operator (1st Shift)
About The Position
Ardent Mills is hiring a full-time Utility Operator at its production facility in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The role maintains and operates utility systems and equipment and performs sanitation duties to meet food safety requirements, helping keep plant operations running smoothly and efficiently. The position requires regular on-site presence. Schedules may vary with business and operational needs and could include shift work, overtime, weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities where applicable. The posted role is identified as first shift. The company provides on-the-job training. Team members are expected to be customer-focused, reliable, hardworking, adaptable, willing to learn and support production goals, and committed to safety and quality work. Physical demands include frequent movement and lifting, working at heights, and working in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, potentially including heat, cold, dust, and loud noise, while using required personal protective equipment. A clean-shaven face is required for tasks requiring respiratory protection so a respirator or N-95 dust mask can seal properly.

- Ability to safely perform physical job duties that may include bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, including possible heat, cold, dust, and loud noise, using personal protective equipment including a dust mask.
- Ability to work in elevated areas four feet and above.
- Must be clean shaven when performing tasks requiring respiratory protection, to allow a respirator including an N-95 dust mask to form an adequate seal.
