About The Position

Bergen Pipe Supports is hiring a full-time Utility Operations Laborer to work out of one of its offices in Donora, Pennsylvania. Utility Staff operate and maintain hydraulic and/or mechanical press equipment, industrial saws, and other fabrication machinery as needed. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Bergen Pipe Supports manufactures and distributes pipe hangers and supports for commercial and industrial applications. The company has been in business since 1913 and has five U.S. locations.

Requirements

Read a tape measure quickly and accurately to keep scrap to a minimum.
Have exceptional attention to detail.
Have a strong focus on safety and quality and a team-player mentality.
Be able to apply computer software skills and learn applications quickly.
Have a good working knowledge of figures and numbers.
Be able to work quickly and efficiently.
Be able to lift and carry heavy objects weighing over 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Operate equipment in accordance with work orders.
Select the proper template and materials for each work order.
Assist the department foreman in meeting production targets.
Assist in other departments when downtime occurs.
Maintain quality standards.
Keep the work area clean and orderly.
Notify managers about non-conformities and facility or equipment repair needs.
Maintain a healthy and safe working environment.
Operate and maintain hydraulic and/or mechanical press equipment, industrial saws, and other fabrication machinery as needed.
