About The Position

AR Utilities & Excavation LLC is hiring dependable, hardworking General Laborers for underground utility construction crews in San Antonio, Texas, and surrounding areas. The company installs underground water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, and fire protection systems. No construction experience is necessary, and training is provided. The role suits people who enjoy outdoor work, can perform physical labor, and are willing to learn a skilled trade. Previous construction or other outdoor, hands-on work is preferred but not required.

This is full-time, year-round employment. Compensation is competitive and based on experience. Training may cover OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification, excavation and trench safety, confined-space safety, underground utility installation and pipe-laying techniques, and safe use of hand tools and small construction equipment. Advancement opportunities include pipe layer, equipment operator, and crew leadership positions. Requirements

• No previous construction experience is required.
• Be willing to learn and develop new skills.
• Have a strong work ethic and be dependable and punctual.
• Be able to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

• Have reliable transportation to designated job sites.
• Be willing to work overtime when necessary.

• Previous outdoor or hands-on work experience, such as landscaping, farming, ranching, construction, or general maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Assist construction crews with underground utility installation.
• Perform general labor, including digging, shoveling, lifting, and moving materials.
• Assist with pipe installation, trench preparation, and backfilling.
• Operate hand tools and small construction equipment as directed.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
• Follow instructions from foremen and equipment operators.
• Work as part of a team to complete daily construction activities.
