About The Position

The Utility Machine Operator is responsible for filling in for vacation/absenteeism and must be able to perform all jobs and operate all machines in the department. The starting pay for this position is $23.70/hr. with a shift increase for second and third shift. Hours are 3pm-11pm.

Requirements

  • 3 months of operator or manufacturing experience listed in the work history or skills section
  • 6 months of work history in 12 months to be considered
  • Must not have been terminated from previous employer for attendance or job abandonment
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Must be willing and able to lift 50 lbs. on a frequent basis
  • Must be able to flex/grip with wrists/hands
  • Must be able to walk, bend, and stand
  • Must be able to perform basic math functions (adding, subtracting, multiplying, etc.) with use of calculator

  • Prior Tyson Workers are not being accepted at this time.

Responsibilities

  • Operating machinery
  • Understanding specs of the product being ran
  • Documenting both on paper and electronically machine setting, weights and other data as needed
  • Assembling, disassembling and cleaning equipment when needed
  • Communicating issues to lead and supervisor
  • Keeping a legible accurate record as required including entering data as needed into a computer-based system
  • Performing any other work as assigned by supervisor
  • Complying with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF Requirements
  • Performing all positions of rotation, if applicable
  • Operating a Power Industrial Truck
  • Using and reading scales and thermometers
  • Performing basic math functions (adding, subtracting, multiplying, etc.) with use of calculator
