Utility Locator - Dallas, TX
About The Position
USIC is hiring a Utility Locator for independent outdoor field work in Dallas, Texas. The role focuses on preventing underground utility damage and protecting infrastructure. No prior utility-locating experience is needed; experienced locators are also encouraged to apply. The company provides training and opportunities for advancement. Technicians travel between work sites in a company-provided vehicle and use ticket and claims management systems to provide clear and complete mark-out services. This is a daytime, full-time position. Because many locates have a 48-hour turnaround, employees generally work the day after holidays and some weekends as needed. Overtime, weekend shifts, and on-call shifts, including nights and weekends, may be required depending on business needs. Compensation is $20.00 per hour.

Responsibilities
- Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer utilities.
- Thoroughly search designated areas for underground utilities.
- Accurately mark utility locations, complete required documentation, and photograph each locate.
