About The Position

The Utility I position is a flexible, entry-level hourly manufacturing role used in several departments at Terumo Medical Corporation’s Elkton manufacturing site. The position is the first step in the hierarchy of hourly manufacturing roles. Attention to detail and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMPs), and Good Documentation Practices (GDPs) are essential to patient safety and success in the role. The associate performs a range of manufacturing operations, follows applicable national and international regulations and safety requirements, maintains a clean work area, and follows TMC Quality System requirements. The role also participates in project performance team meetings to contribute ideas and processes for improving unit and company performance, and performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Ability to precisely adhere to process requirements.
Attention to detail.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work productively independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Follow requirements of applicable national and international regulations.
Closely adhere to all safety requirements.
Perform manufacturing operations that may include cutting and washing, rodding and derodding, sheath tip forming and inspection, dilator tip forming, silicon application, hand assembly, inflate/deflate leak testing, RF (PVC) welding, tube or valve bonding, and curvature insertion.
Maintain a clean work area.
Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices.
Participate in project performance team meetings on behalf of the job unit and provide ideas, methods, or processes for unit or company performance improvement.
Follow TMC Quality System requirements, including process controls, inspection procedures, document and data control, and change control practices.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
