About The Position

As a Utility Houseperson at The Cosmopolitan, you will support housekeeping operations and help keep the resort clean, welcoming, and guest-ready. Your attention to detail, strong work ethic, and commitment to service contribute to a polished environment and exceptional guest experiences.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of cleaning equipment, supplies, and chemicals used daily.
• Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of relevant cleaning experience in a similar resort-style setting.
• Six months of relevant experience maintaining various floor surfaces using related cleaning, buffing, and extraction equipment.
• Experience transporting supplies and linens and using professional cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning of guest rooms and hallways.
• Clean carpet, upholstery, glass tabletops, and windows; polish marble; and rearrange guest-room furniture when requested by guests.
• Dust high and elevated areas, including behind headboards by pulling beds away from walls.
• Deliver and stock linens, including sheets, pillowcases, and terry items, on floors and in Guest Room Attendant locker rooms.
• Use bonnet machines, extraction equipment, and furniture cleaning machines (CFR) to remove stains from furnishings.
• Bonnet up to 25 rooms and shampoo up to 15 rooms per day.
