Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in the trucking and/or intermodal transportation industry.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and Safety Compliance
- Familiarity with DOT safety compliance
- Thrives off working in a high paced environment
- Ability to prioritize/multitask
- Computer Savvy
Responsibilities
- Coverage for Dispatchers that are out for vacation/leave of absence, yard checks, redelivery validation.
- Dispatch truck drivers for pick-ups at customer locations, local ports, and railroads
- Confirm proper bookings and billings to meet customer requirements
- Enter data in the computer for planning and general information
- Provide necessary communications to the terminal regarding specific customer requests
- Be willing to work extended hours to meet and exceed customer needs
