Used Vehicle Service Technician
About The Position
Mills is seeking a Used Vehicle Service Technician to perform high-quality maintenance, inspections, and repairs. The role requires attention to detail, high-quality workmanship, effective communication, and enthusiasm for the automotive industry. Technicians are expected to meet or exceed dealership efficiency and time specifications while completing work correctly the first time. They communicate regularly with Service Advisors, Service Managers, and Sales Managers so guests can be kept informed about service and repair status. Training and manufacturer courses support development as the technician’s skills grow. The work schedule is Monday through Friday with a rotational Saturday; facilities are closed Sundays and on designated holidays. Pay starts at $18.00 per hour, or technicians may earn a higher flat rate for each hour produced based on biweekly production. When production reaches specified levels, the flat rate may start at $20.00–$22.00. Compensation is evaluated based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Responsibilities
- Complete advanced maintenance, including brake repairs, coolant flushes, transmission flushes, and related work.
- Rotate, repair, and replace tires.
- Conduct new vehicle inspections.
- Conduct pre-owned vehicle inspections.
- Perform intermediate-skilled recall repairs.
- Meet or exceed dealership efficiency and time specifications while ensuring work is done correctly the first time.
- Communicate regularly with Service Advisors, Service Managers, and Sales Managers about service and repair status.
- Develop skills and complete manufacturer training to take on additional work.
