About The Position

Kendall Volkswagen of Bend is seeking experienced Used Automotive Technicians / Mechanics. This is not an entry-level position. Candidates must have mechanical or tech experience at a dealership or large independent shop. The role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and identifying work needed on various vehicles, performing adjustments and calibrations, replenishing fluids, disassembling and reassembling components, and repairing or replacing parts. The technician will use independent judgment, document work according to policies, and road test vehicles to ensure quality. Work is performed indoors in a shop environment.

Requirements

• Mechanical or tech experience at a dealership or large independent shop.
• Ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles both automatic and manual transmissions.
• A valid driver license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting, diagnosing, and identifying work that needs to be completed on various vehicles.
• Performing adjustments and calibrations.
• Replenishing fluids.
• Disassembling and reassembling vehicle components.
• Repairing or replacing parts.
• Using independent judgment to make decisions.
• Documenting all work and hours per manufacturer and Kendall policies.
• Road testing all vehicles to ensure quality of work and issues resolution.
