About The Position

Kendall Volkswagen of Bend is seeking experienced Automotive Technicians / Mechanics to join their team. This is not an entry-level position and requires mechanical or tech experience at a dealership or large independent shop. The role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing various vehicles, including performing adjustments, calibrations, fluid replenishment, disassembly/reassembly of components, and part replacement. Technicians will use independent judgment, document work according to policies, and road test vehicles to ensure quality. The work environment is indoors in a shop, requiring the use of mechanic's tools, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, crouching, squatting, reaching, and kneeling. Lifting, pushing, and pulling weights of 20 to 100 pounds may be required occasionally. Requirements

Mechanical or tech experience at a dealership or large independent shop.
Ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles both automatic and manual transmissions.
A valid driver license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

Inspecting, diagnosing, and identifying work that needs to be completed on various vehicles.
Performing adjustments and calibrations.
Replenishing fluids.
Disassembling and reassembling vehicle components.
Repairing or replacing parts.
Using independent judgment to make decisions.
Documenting all work and hours per manufacturer and Kendall policies.
Road testing all vehicles to ensure quality of work and issues resolution.
