About The Position

Group 1 Honda Owings Mills, part of Group 1 Automotive, is seeking a Used Vehicle Acquisition Specialist to help grow its pre-owned vehicle inventory. The specialist engages with service customers through follow-up calls and in-person conversations to identify potential selling or trade-in opportunities, build relationships, and connect customers with the Sales team to explore their options.

Requirements

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work in a fast-paced dealership environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Automotive BDC, customer service, or appointment-setting experience is preferred.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers visiting the Service Department to identify potential trade-in and vehicle acquisition opportunities.
• Make outbound follow-up calls to current and previous service customers.
• Build rapport with customers and create interest in having their vehicle evaluated for purchase or trade.
• Schedule vehicle appraisal and acquisition appointments.
• Maintain consistent and professional follow-up with prospective customers.
• Accurately document customer interactions, appointments, and follow-up activity.
• Partner closely with the Sales and Used Vehicle teams to ensure a smooth customer handoff.
• Deliver a friendly, professional, and low-pressure customer experience.
