About The Position

Lexus of Orange County is hiring a Used Car Technician to inspect, recondition, maintain, and repair used vehicle inventory for frontline sale. The technician diagnoses and repairs a range of mechanical and electrical concerns, completes inspections and documentation, and works with service, parts, and used vehicle departments to meet quality and production goals. The position offers full-time work with Saturday availability required and a flat-rate pay range of $20 to $41+ per hour based on experience. Qualified technicians may receive a $3,500 sign-on bonus. The shop is heated and air conditioned, and built-in toolboxes and work benches are provided. ASE testing costs are covered, and in-house Lexus training and certification are provided.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of automotive repair experience.
• Familiarity with diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing engines, electrical systems, and transmissions.
• New York State Inspection License.
• Up-to-date ASE Certifications.
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in the applicant's state of residence.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old.
• Saturday availability required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in agricultural, construction, marine, or commercial vehicle repair is welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive inspections and reconditioning of used vehicle inventory.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, suspension, steering, braking, HVAC, and drivability concerns.
• Complete maintenance services to prepare vehicles for frontline sale.
• Identify and document repair recommendations according to dealership standards.
• Perform quality inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and appearance requirements.
• Work efficiently to meet internal production and turnaround goals.
• Use service information systems, scan tools, and electronic repair resources.
• Collaborate with service, parts, and used vehicle departments to ensure timely completion of work.
• Maintain accurate repair orders and documentation.
