About The Position

Hudson Nissan of North Charleston, part of Hudson Automotive Group, is hiring Used Car Technicians for its high-volume service team in North Charleston, South Carolina. The role offers a stated earning potential of $50,000–$90,000+ per year, including commission, and a Monday-through-Friday schedule with limited Saturdays. The shift is described as open to closing. Technicians perform repairs and maintenance to the standards specified on repair orders, diagnose vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and service equipment, and communicate with Service Advisors and the parts department to support customer service and repairs. The role is based in a climate-controlled facility. Applicants must have a valid driver's license and previous automotive technician experience. Manufacturer experience is preferred. Applicants must pass pre-employment background, motor vehicle record, and drug testing.

Requirements

Valid driver's license.
Three to five or more years of automotive technician experience required.
Customer-focused, self-motivated, competitive, and coachable.
Must pass pre-employment background checks, motor vehicle record checks, and drug testing.

Responsibilities

Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with quality and dealership standards.
Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
Communicate with Service Advisors about additional service needs so customers can be informed.
Estimate the time needed for additional repairs.
Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
