About The Position

Lithia Toyota of Klamath Falls is hiring a Used Car Technician to prepare pre-owned vehicles for customers in a fast-paced, team-oriented dealership. The role offers consistent work, access to state-of-the-art equipment, ongoing training, and support from experienced leadership. Pay starts at $17.00 per flat-rate hour and increases depending on experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday. The technician performs and documents repair work, diagnoses malfunctions, and road-tests vehicles to verify repairs. The role also involves maintaining required manufacturer and ASE certifications through training and using shop supplies economically. Technicians are responsible for providing and maintaining their own normal mechanic’s tools that are not inventoried by the service department as special tools.

Requirements

Prior automotive technician experience.
Ability to operate a wide variety of cars, trucks, and vans, including vehicles with manual and automatic transmissions.
Willingness to learn and grow with the dealership and Toyota brand.
Attention to detail and safety protocols.
Ability to navigate new technology.
Acceptable driving record and a valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
High school graduate or equivalent.
At least 18 years of age.

ASE certifications.

Responsibilities

Perform work listed on repair orders efficiently and accurately according to Lithia and manufacturer standards.
Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunctions.
Road-test vehicles to verify the quality of repair work.
Document work performed and test procedures and results on repair orders.
Acquire and maintain manufacturer and ASE certifications by completing required training.
Use shop supplies and materials practically and economically.
Provide and maintain normal mechanic’s tools needed for trained work that are not inventoried by the service department as special tools.
