About The Position

Sterling Automotive is looking for an experienced Used Car Sales Manager to lead our pre-owned vehicle sales operations. If you're a motivated automotive leader with a proven track record in sales, inventory management, and developing high-performing teams, we'd love to hear from you. As the Used Car Sales Manager, you'll play a key role in driving sales performance, maintaining a quality pre-owned inventory, coaching sales professionals, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Requirements

  • Previous automotive sales management experience required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Proven ability to coach, motivate, and develop employees.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Basic mathematical and financial skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dealership environment.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or have at least three years of licensed driving experience.
  • Must successfully pass all pre-employment screenings, including a background check and drug screen.
  • Professional appearance and work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and support the sales team to achieve individual and dealership sales goals.
  • Oversee daily used vehicle sales operations and assist with inventory management.
  • Monitor sales activities and customer interactions to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct sales meetings and communicate dealership, manufacturer, and company updates.
  • Assist with hiring, training, coaching, and performance management of sales team members.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, reports, and required documentation.
  • Collaborate with dealership leadership and other departments to support operational success.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, manufacturer standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
