About The Position

Suntrup Ford Westport is seeking an experienced, motivated, and results-driven Used Car Sales Manager to join our growing team. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about developing people, driving sales performance, and maintaining a high-quality used vehicle inventory. Requirements

  • Previous automotive sales management experience required.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Experience managing used vehicle inventory and merchandising.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, reconditioning, and dealership operations.
  • Experience with DriveCentric CRM is highly preferred.
  • Experience with the Ford Experience and Ford dealership operations is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and motivate the used vehicle sales team to achieve monthly sales and profitability goals.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the used car department.
  • Work closely with the General Manager to maximize inventory turn and gross profit.
  • Oversee the used vehicle inventory process from acquisition through retail delivery.
  • Ensure vehicles move efficiently through reconditioning, detailing, merchandising, and front-line readiness.
  • Manage the detailing department and monitor vehicle appearance standards.
  • Coordinate inventory photography, online merchandising, and vehicle descriptions to ensure listings are accurate, attractive, and timely.
  • Monitor vehicle aging and develop strategies to maximize inventory performance.
  • Follow up on leads and ensure proper CRM processes are being followed.
  • Hold sales staff accountable for prospecting, follow-up, appointments, and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain compliance with dealership policies and manufacturer standards.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on exceptional customer service.
