Responsible for all aspects of acquiring used-car inventory through direct contacts, generated leads, off-site auctions, dealers, internet inquiries from customers, or any other available avenues. Appraise vehicles, understand vehicle condition, negotiate price, make financially sound purchasing decisions, and ensure timely processing of all purchases. Responsible for understanding retail trends and participating in the inventory planning process. Deliver a premium customer experience by responding to customer inquiries in a prompt, professional, accurate, and courteous manner. This highly accountable position uses lead management tools. Requires working in a fast-paced team environment, being effective as a self-starter, and working individually as needs dictate. Generate leads and create appointments by researching the available used car market. Meet car buying quotas. Understand market tendencies and the changes to the trends in all geographic areas. Develop effective working relationships with all purchasing venues to accelerate the placement of ideal inventory in an expeditious and cost-effective manner. Effectively utilize lead management tools. Compile all necessary reports, forms, and other documentation on a timely basis. Required to be the expert in all aspects of the purchasing, shipping, selling, and stocking of vehicles. Other tasks assigned by the manager, such as porting vehicles for sales or service.
