About The Position
Sands Chevrolet in Surprise, Arizona is looking for an experienced Used Car Technician to join their busy reconditioning team. This role offers consistent work, strong flat-rate earning potential, and the opportunity to flag up to 150 hours per pay period, providing a great opportunity for career growth within a high-volume dealership.
Requirements
- Previous automotive technician experience required
- Ability to work efficiently in a flat-rate environment
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to manage multiple repair orders and priorities
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Own tools required
Nice To Haves
- Used car, recon, or dealership experience preferred
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on used vehicles
- Complete used vehicle reconditioning efficiently and accurately
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and safety-related concerns
- Perform brakes, suspension, steering, electrical, and general mechanical repairs
- Identify additional repair needs during inspections
- Complete work according to dealership quality and safety standards
- Maintain accurate documentation of repairs performed
- Work closely with service advisors, used car management, and other technicians
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
