As a Settlement Analyst, you will settle or process all transactions assigned on a daily basis in a timely and accurate manner. This role involves processing the settlements of securities and handling all trade exceptions. The analyst will need to possess good knowledge of the products and systems required to accomplish daily responsibilities, a high level of knowledge of Securities Settlements and its various functions, and the ability to reconcile account differences and issues, articulating them to the proper channels. Excellent communication skills are essential for working with coworkers and internal clients, providing a high level of customer service, and dealing with high volumes of trades to ensure settlement. The role also includes reducing risk and cost to the firm by escalating potential issues to management, assisting with ad hoc requirements, and being a team player. Adherence to all firm policies and procedures is strictly required. Proficient skills in Windows-based products like Outlook, Word, and Excel are necessary, as is the ability to multitask in a pressured environment. The analyst must remain up-to-date on a number of desks to provide backfill support throughout the year and interface with various business lines, branches, and counter-party operations teams to rectify settlement discrepancies. The work environment is hybrid, within North American business hours (8 am - 5 pm EST), requiring a 7.5-hour day (37.5 hours per week) with a 1-hour break, and occasional overtime.
