About The Position

Shore Outpatient Surgicenter is hiring a full time Urology/GI Tech. At Shore Outpatient Surgicenter, we focus on offering a high quality, service oriented environment for your surgical procedure. Our facility is accredited by Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.
The Urology/GI Technician operates under the direct supervision of a surgeon to assist with the operation of technical equipment used during both simple and complex endoscopic and urology procedures. The physician, registered nurse, and technician collaborate in the procedure room to create ideal conditions for achieving positive patient outcomes. The technician is also responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining endoscopes and other instruments. Additional duties of the technician include managing patient flow, preparing the room for procedures, stocking supplies, ordering materials, and handling various clerical tasks.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Urology and GI procedures
• Current BLS required

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center or surgical hospital preferred
• ACLS preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with the operation of technical equipment used during both simple and complex endoscopic and urology procedures.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain endoscopes and other instruments.
• Manage patient flow.
• Prepare the room for procedures.
• Stock supplies.
• Order materials.
• Handle various clerical tasks.
