About The Position

Shore Outpatient Surgicenter is hiring a GI Tech. At Shore Outpatient Surgicenter, they focus on offering a high quality, service oriented environment for surgical procedures and are accredited by Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. The GI Technician/Endoscopy operates under the direct supervision of a surgeon to assist with the operation of technical equipment used during both simple and complex endoscopic procedures. The physician, registered nurse, and GI technician collaborate in the procedure room to create ideal conditions for achieving positive patient outcomes. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a GI Lab
• Current BLS required

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center or surgical hospital preferred
• ACLS preferred

Responsibilities

• Operates under the direct supervision of a surgeon to assist with the operation of technical equipment used during both simple and complex endoscopic procedures
• Collaborates with the physician and registered nurse in the procedure room to create ideal conditions for achieving positive patient outcomes
• Responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining endoscopes and other instruments
• Managing patient flow
• Preparing the room for procedures
• Stocking supplies
• Ordering materials
• Handling various clerical tasks
