About The Position

We are seeking a Urologist for a Locum Tenens position in Portsmouth, OH. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient care, with a coverage period from ASAP and ongoing. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a call schedule to be determined. The position requires coverage for clinical duties and call, with a call response time of 30 minutes. This is a supplemental coverage need. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance will be covered by the agency.

Requirements

• Board Certified (BC) required
• Licensed in OH or IMLC
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• General Urology procedures
• Advanced endoscopic techniques
• Laparoscopic surgeries
• Percutaneous nephrolithotomy
• Ureteroscopy
• Renal and bladder ultrasound (w/biopsy)
• TRUS biopsies
• Incontinence procedures
• Office Procedures: Vasectomy, Prostate Biopsies, Cystoscopy with stent removal, prostate U/S
• Hospital Procedures: Abdominal Sacrocopopexy, Aquablation, circumcision, Cryoblation of the prostate/kidney, Cystocele, Cystoscopy, Green light laser prostate, Hernia repair, HIFU, Hydrocelectomy, Interstim Stage I & Stage II, Mid Uretheral sling, Optilume, Orchiectomy, PCNL, Penile plication & prosthesis, Percutaneous nerve evaluation & nephrolithotomy, Prostate biopsy, Radia/partial nephrectomy, Rectocele repair, Space oar/fiducial, Spermatocelectomy, Suprapubic catheter insertion, TURP, Ureteroscopy with laser lithotripsy, Uretheral bulking, Urolift, Laser Lithotripsy
• Hospital Privileges Required

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient urology care during office hours (Mon–Thu, 8am–4:30pm)
• Perform office-based procedures including vasectomy, prostate biopsies, cystoscopy with stent removal, and prostate ultrasounds
• Perform hospital-based procedures including abdominal sacrocolpopexy, aquablation, circumcision, and ureteroscopy with laser lithotripsy
• Supervise and collaborate with NPs, MAs, and clinical staff
• Manage patient volume of 15–20 patients per day in office and 4–8 procedures per day in hospital
