About The Position
We are seeking a Urologist to provide locum tenens coverage for weekend trauma call. This inpatient role involves managing adult and pediatric urology cases, performing a range of general urology procedures including advanced endoscopic and laparoscopic surgeries, and conducting diagnostic procedures. The coverage period is ongoing, starting January 25, 2027, with a shift schedule from Friday 7a to Monday 7a every weekend. The facility is a Level III Trauma Center utilizing the Epic EMR system, with onsite lab and X-ray, and specialty backup from Anesthesia. Support staff including RNs, APPs, and Anesthesia are available.
Requirements
- Board Certified in Urology (BC)
- Active CO License or Universal License (IMLC)
- Active DEA Certification
- BLS certification
- EMR proficiency (Epic) required
- Must complete EMR training prior to start
- Hospital Privileges Required
Responsibilities
- Provide weekend trauma call coverage (Friday 7a – Monday 7a)
- Perform general urology procedures including advanced endoscopic and laparoscopic surgeries
- Manage adult and pediatric urology cases in the emergency department
- Conduct renal and bladder ultrasound, TRUS biopsies, and other diagnostic procedures
- Collaborate with RNs, APPs, and anesthesia staff as needed
