About The Position
We are seeking a Urologist for a permanent, full-time position in Dothan, AL. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient services, requiring clinical duties and participation in a 1:6 call rotation. The position covers general urology, including a wide range of procedures and surgeries. The Urologist will diagnose and treat adult urologic conditions, perform surgeries, provide inpatient consults and rounding, supervise APPs, and participate in teaching opportunities.
Requirements
- Active AL medical license (preferred)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology
- Experience with general adult urologic conditions
- Comfort working with hospital-employed group and in clinic + OR settings
- Cystoscopy
- Prostate biopsy
- Urodynamics
- da Vinci prostatectomy
- Partial nephrectomy
- ESWL
- Urological reconstruction
- Vasectomy reversal
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat adult urologic conditions in outpatient and hospital settings
- Perform required urological procedures and surgeries
- Provide inpatient consults and rounding support
- Participate in 1 in 6 weekend call rotation
- Supervise or collaborate with APPs
- Participate in teaching opportunities through ACOM and residency programs
