About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens position for a Physician specializing in Urology in Gettysburg, PA. The role involves both clinic and OR settings, focusing on clinical coverage. The coverage period is from January 4, 2027, to April 5, 2027. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Patients seen will be adults and geriatrics, with a minimum of 14 patients per day. The case mix is general urology. The department has 73 beds and uses the Epic EMR system. Support staff includes 3 Medical Assistants, 1 LPN, 3 front office staff, a surgical scheduler, and a practice manager. Hospital privileges are required, with temporary privileges available. Credentialing requires full compliance 2 weeks prior to the start date. Required procedures include Ureteroscopies and General Urology.

Requirements

• Active PA License or Universal License (IMLC)
• BC/BE in Urology
• DEA Required
• Minimum 3 years of experience (new grads welcome)

Responsibilities

• Perform hospital rounding, consultations, and surgical procedures in the OR.
• Conduct outpatient clinic visits, including new patient evaluations (30 mins max) and post-operative follow-ups (15 mins).
• Provide daytime hospital call coverage for rounding, consults, and occasional add-on surgical cases.
• Perform general urology procedures, such as ureteroscopies, in both the clinic and OR settings.
• Collaborate with a dedicated support team in a well-established urology office featuring 9 exam rooms and 3 procedure rooms.
