About The Position

Legacy Health is seeking a full-time Urologist to join the team at Good Samaritan Hospital. The ideal candidate will be board eligible or board-certified in Urologic Surgery by the American Board of Urology. This role involves providing medical and surgical services within an assigned clinic, building relationships with staff, and delivering expert care to patients, all while reflecting the Legacy mission of making life better for others. Portland, Oregon, offers a high quality of life with diverse urban and family-friendly communities, extensive parks, cultural activities, and proximity to natural attractions like the Columbia River Gorge, Mt. Hood, and the Oregon Coast.

Requirements

Graduate of a four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent.
Completion of an accredited Urologic Surgery residency and fellowship.
Board eligible or board-certified in Urologic Surgery by the American Board of Urology.
Unrestricted Oregon medical license and DEA.
Current BLS certificate from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Provides a full range of urology care to patients of Legacy Health in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including a comprehensive mix of patient problems and surgical approaches.
Participates in call coverage for urologic patients and new patients with other urology physicians on the LPH Medical Staff.
Responds verbally and in writing to referral physicians.
Participates in Legacy Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement programs, including peer review in the Department of Surgery.
Provides input and advice regarding future capital and equipment needs for the urology program.
Provides clinical supervision for physician associates involved in surgery and management of urology patients, acting as the physician supervisor of record.
Provides education and training for physician associates as needed and requested.
Participates in Legacy research and education activities as appropriate.
Participates in employee evaluations and staff selection as requested and pertinent.
