About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens Physician position in Urology at a Level 1 Trauma Hospital in York, PA. The role involves clinical duties and 24-hour beeper call coverage during assigned dates. Responsibilities include performing office-based procedures, surgical procedures, and providing emergency consultations. The position requires supervision of Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. The patient demographic is primarily adults (18+), with occasional pediatric emergency cases. The EMR system used is Epic, and office equipment such as cystoscope and towers are available. The hospital has a dedicated support staff including RNs, MAs, and office staff.

Requirements

• Active PA license or Universal License (IMLC) LOQ
• BC or BE in Urology
• DEA Required
• Minimum 1 year of experience
• Hospital Privileges Required

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour beeper call coverage during assigned dates.
• Perform office-based procedures including cystoscopy and stent placements, mixed with office visits.
• Supervise and support Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
• Perform surgical procedures such as vasectomy, prostate procedures, ureteroscopy, lithotripsy, and orchiopexy.
• Provide emergency urology consultation for adult patients, with occasional pediatric torsion cases.
